Having worked in the Sanibel Island Vacation Rental industry for more that 25 years, I've seen firsthand how interior design can influence a guest's first impression and overall vacation experience. I had the pleasure of working with Joanne when she owned her condo, which she remodeled. She has a wonderful ability to create spaces that are beautiful, comfortable, and inviting. Her attention to detail resulted in a space that feels intentional, cohesive, relaxed and "coastal". From a vacation rental perspective, that distinction matters. A successful vacation rental needs to photograph beautifully, create an emotional connection with prospective guests, function well during a stay, and leave guests remembering how the property made them feel. Joanne understands that balance, and I would confidently recommend her to property owners looking to elevate their space.
I represented Joanne and her husband, Dave, as their realtor and listing agent for their beautiful condo here on Sanibel Island. Joanne had completely remodeled the interior of the unit and it was absolutely breathtaking. It photographed beautifully and no stone was left unturned on making it a gorgeous property. Our real estate market at the time was extremely slow, however, this unit sold very quickly which I attribute to just how well it was furnished, decorated and designed. It was one of the nicer condos I have represented.
Couch Construction had the pleasure of working with Joanne on a condo project in Sanibel, Florida. The project began as a blank white box and was transformed into a beautifully finished living space. Joanne was responsible for the overall design, color palette, cabinetry, fixtures, and flooring selections.
Joanne was easy to work with, reasonable, and flexible throughout the project. As the contractor, I appreciated her practical approach, openness to input, and willingness to work together to find solutions that balanced her design vision with the realities of construction. Her ability to adapt and communicate made the process smooth. Having a designer who understands the importance of teamwork and problem-solving makes a real difference during a build out.
We were proud to help bring Joanne's visions to life, and would appreciate the opportunity to work with her on future projects. She is positive, a good communicator and easy to work with.
